No Power Power
Augh, what an exhausting day. Colby's All Star team began their State Tournament this morning in Bath. The plan was to get going around 9, as the team was to assemble at 10:30 in Bath.
Hurricane Arthur had other plans for us. We were rudely awaken at 5:00 with a power outage - leaving us to question how long it would be out, and if we needed to run the generator for a bit before we left. As we got ready for the day, it was evident that perhaps we wouldn't even play, as the rains continued and the field conditions were most likely horrible.
We packed the cooler and the car, Mace went with Mom for the day, and we headed out shortly before 9 am. as we hadn't heard otherwise. Halfway into our trip, we received the phone call that the game was pushed back 2 hours due to extremely wet field conditions. So, we arrived in Bath and waited.
The game was played, Colby did great, Skowhegan won, and we skipped home ... only to find the power was not restored. Yikes. So, we started the generator - recharged the refrigerator and freezers and headed back out to pick up Mace and grab dinner at Moms.
We didn't get our power restored until 10:45 that evening. We still have no idea what the problem was, we hadn't seen any major storm damage? BJ and I were so grateful for the generator - it's not big enough to provide power to the entire house, but for the time that we would otherwise be in the dark - we were able to watch tv, run fans and surf the web. It's an awesome no power solution, and one that I appreciate when CMP lets us down.
Thank you Mom and Dad for an AWESOME gift!
