Cherished Cherries!

In honor of the National Cherry Festival we went in search of peace, quiet and real Michigan cherries.

Driving the back roads, one of my favorite things, we passed cherry orchard after cherry orchard and lo and behold the trees were dripping with cherries!

It's quite controversial around here that it's quite common for the local cherries to not be ripe/ready for festival time.
