It was indeed cougar scat!! The big cat ambled accord the beach in front of Michael this morning and was seen by another startled neighbour as she was taking an early morning hot tub. With such fresh scent and a strong inkling of where the Cougar was hiding, the hounds corralled it immediately this afternoon, seining it 25 ft into a tree. The conservation officer tranquillized it and here it lies; sedated, breathing, beautiful and harmless about to be relocated to Sooke, BC
