Safe travels...

We said farewell & safe journey to Jacob today. For the past eighteen months he has taken Miniman's Mini-Kickers football group on a Saturday morning. He's off to travel the world for a couple of years with one of his buddies from university. "Good luck to you!" Is what I told him, before making him accept a small beer token for on his way. He tried hard not to take it but gave in eventually. It wasn't all that much... I explained that it would probably only get him a tinny and a sandwich in Perth (one of his many destinations). He's been a great teacher, patient & kind with all the young kids that pass through the group. I know my little man will miss him but he'll remember that on his last session he awarded him with a trophy. He said that my little star was there at his first ever session and had listened and learned well and would be an asset to the next coach.
