Old Grammar School

This worn old sign is set in the front facade of Lewes Old Grammar School, located in the High Street. The Senior School is housed in three former townhouses, which are grade II listed.

The building is clad with distinctive square flints, which have the look of cracked caramel. Rain had soaked into the porous stonework, while enriching the colour of the flint.
