Empty beach

Took a trip to the coast for a walk. The track that claimed to follow the beach on the map didn't quite tell the truth. We had to head up into the woods to travel between the various bays and skirt some properties close to the cliffs that were private.

Beautiful beaches with caves and interesting rock formations and so quiet. We tried to return by wading from one bay to the next but realised that not only was the tide coming in but that the sand turned to very loose and claggy mud only a few feet from the shore. Decided not to risk it and return by road instead.
