Victoria Station....

I'm loving the developing elegant curve of the new roof of Victoria Station in Manchester. Piccadilly has the most dramatic train shed in the city in use (I'm not counting the train shed of the old Central Station that is now an exhibition space) attached to a airport concourse/shopping mall and has had a fortune spent on it.

Poor Victoria has been ignored and left to decay. Which is good in a way because a lot of here original features are still intact. With Manchester being developed as the Northern Hub for the railways, Victoria's time has come. The beautiful old station is being restored with all its original bits getting a spit and polish. But out back, the trains and trams will arrive under this elegant new roof. And, hopefully, it won't be leaking like the old one did.
