The Point of Ayre
There might just have been some "early birds" listening to Radio 4's Open Country this morning.
Helen Mark went to the lighthouse at the Mull of Galloway. She gave quite a vivid description of the various geographic features that could be seen. In a southerly direction the Isle of Man was mentioned.
This prompted me to go and take the reverse view.
So here it is the Point of Ayre lighthouse looking northward.
This lighthouse was also constructed by the Northern Lighthouse Board. It is now mechanised and the buildings sold off.
