Optimistic
The Glasgow 2014 Queen's Baton Relay rolled on into Aberdeen today and the council seem to have overestimated the scale of interest amongst the public a bit. Union Terrace was closed to accommodate up to 10,000 overspill from the end of the days baton relay in Union Terrace Gardens. Amidst all the security fencing and guards there was a huge screen set up at the far end to relay coverage from the actual end of the relay, but the crowd was more like 10 than 10,000 ...
