Down the Danube II

Passau to the Schlogener Loop.

Amazing day. Setting out wobbly at first then more confident. An amazing thunderstorm: took shelter in a cafe and ate cake. On down the river, forests, wildlife and a castle. Lunch at a snackbar just over the border into Austria - bratwurst and potato salad. Glorious sunshine as we reached the Schlogen bend in the river. We walked to the viewpoint - amazing. Finally a brutal climb to our (cheap!) gasthaus but we are here and ready for a beer and dinner!
