This year's model

Another productive day horticulturally - weeding and sowing up at the allotment then lunch of home-grown artichokes (a faff to prepare but very nice) on baby leaf salad. Sat listening to the liquid chirping of a blackbird chick somewhere in the thick yew hedge that borders our garden and next door. On our return from a lovely rolling 30km bike ride in the evening sunshine, we found this little fella and his mum on the step. Obliged with some mealworms.

Oh and we saw another hare, lolloping along the deserted country lane. Splendid.
