THE HARD WAY

Sean and Mike were set up on a picnic table by Nye Beach this morning. Sean is an unemployed construction worker from California. Mike is an ex Marine, Viet Nam vet, who has devoted himself one hundred percent to art. Sean collects the drift wood and carves it out. Mike draws the pictures. I didn't buy any, and I have been wishing I had all day. Because they are trying.
