Lording's Flood Gates And Bridge

I went out for a walk in the evening at Wisborough Green and walked out to the river and the Arun Navigation which starts on the south side of Newbridge on the A272. My walk started at the allotments and down Harsfold Lane and then followed the bridleway down to the canalside. This is a special flood gate and restored in 2002. The bridge carries a footpath over the canal and the towpath is part of the Wey-South long distance footpath. There is also a small picnic area here and all in all a very pleasant spot to walk out to and even better when you've not visited it before!
