Toothy Gargoyle

I stopped off at Warnham very briefly on the way home from work and photographed this gargoyle. Gargoyles carry rainwater away from a roof or parapet so that damp isn't caused to the walls. Many are medieval, but this one is a Victorian example on the South Aisle of St Margaret's Church. The head appears to be almost chewing the top of the downpipe!
