The semifinal matches of the Fife Ladies Bowling Competition were held at our club which is known locally as The Big Green. It was beautiful summer evening and a large crowd gathered to watch some excellent bowling.
Here we see the umpire completing a measure to determine which bowl lies nearest the jack - the winning bowl is handled thus so that the players and spectators know the result. You are witnessing a very serious moment!
