Girl Talk
A walk, a talk, a little Starbucks! It's all good. Me and my girl walked into town today, she needed to return product at the beauty supply and well, I had to get a blip, good combo.
We ended up sharing drinks and a chat at the local coffee shop. She is going through some uncertainty right now in her life, wondering what God is up to. He has 'cleaned house' recently and is continuing to do so. She is an extremely strong, resilient young woman. She doesn't get that from me...she looks just like me, but that is just about where it ends. I am amazed at her depth at times.
But for the moment, with a degree in business fashion and styling and the economy not in her favor, she is in hopes of pursuing what she loves. She is 'lady in waiting' to see what is next for her life. I told her, 'all things are possible and it seems like things have changed in your life, so that new things can blossom. I know you are concerned, it is both exciting and scary, but it's all good you have so much in your favor'.
It is exciting to see what this new life has for her. We clicked our paper cups and cheered to 'new life, new year'. It will be good...just wait and see!!!
SIDE NOTE: I put this shot in hot pink. As a little girl, that is just about the only color she would wear. She LOVED hot pink. Just before she left tonight, I showed her the blip I choose and told her that I hadn't seen her in hot pink in years. She laughed, 'oh yeah...haha...hot pink, I don't remember the last time.' As she left it hit me. I saw her in hot pink heels for church this morning. LOL!!! She still has it in her!!! :]
BTW: Last night was fine. I wore the blue, felt good about it. Both my hubby and I won movie passes, all in all, it was a good night!!! Thanks for the support!!! :)
