Busy Mong kok
Had a rather lovely full on day today. Picked up my German visa (yay I'm ready for our holidays) then to the mall for more free hairdos (yay again) this time Jess got hers done too. Followed by a quick trip to the Peak as it was a rather clear day and wanted to get the views before the next typhoon kicks up some yucky stuff our way.
It was rather un-busy up there which I was surprised to see. It's usually a super popular tourist spot, but not today. We practically had it all to ourselves, NICE!
Then raced off to Prince Edward/Mong Kok to watch an Indian movie, of all things. I haven't watched an Indian movie in a cinema since I was about 8, so it was something unusual to do. Jess was keen, so we did it. Took us forever to find the cinema but we persisted in the blazing heat and finally found it in time for the movie. We'd seen a trailer of the movie and were suitably amused/intrigued.
It was called 'Queen' and we both really enjoyed it. Obviously there were English subtitles for Jess to follow along, but they were flitting between Hindi/Punjabi and English quite a bit.
We then browsed through the Ladies Market quickly where I got this shot of Mong Kok which is the most densely populated part of the world (per square footage apparently!). Sure felt like that while we were there. Tried this picture in b/w but prefer the colour.
Homeward bound finally to cook dinner and relax.
