Bastille Day

The French celebrate Bastille Day, "French National Day" on the 14th July to commemorate the beginning of the French Revolution with the storming of Bastille in 1789 as well as Fête de la Fédération, which celebrates the unity of the French people on 14th July 1790.

Today, France wasn't the only country to have a celebration as Germany had plenty to celebrate as they won this years Football World Cup in Brazil. The game was shown at 5am and after an exciting match it came to a close in the few remaining minutes of extra time.

Since it was still a little early for work, after watching the game I decided that I could "rest my eyes" and ended up in a rush as I noticed that time flew by and it was time for me to go.
