Imperial purple and indigo denim

Went to an interesting lecture this morning about the colorful history of textiles. Delivered passionately by Susan Kay-Williams from Hampton Court Palace with confidence and a fair amount of humour, which considering the large amount of insects and urine involved in the early dyeing process was probably much needed.

I feel I should wear purple more often!!
