Exploring Caves

A wonderful sunny morning soon disappeared into a cloudy day with sunny spells but a fine calm day.

Up early and out walkies with Sammy dog in the morning sunshine. After breakfast, it was time to launch the rubber boat and set out exploring some of Papa Stour's caves. Plans didn't work out as the outboard engine decided to give up but managed a trip to one cave close by. The afternoon was spent borrowing tools from the locals but still no joy. I'll just have to come back again :)
Tonight walkies will continue around the isle with Sammy.

I managed to get to the Brei Holm not far from the campsite with the boat. Surrounded by sea stacks and birds and then the entrance to the Brei Holm cave came into sight. What wonderful colours of blue and greens in the sea (but not seen here due to dark reflections) and an amazement of tunnels through the cave with arches reaching overhead too. I'll certainly be coming back to explore more by sea when the engine is fixed!
