Between a rock and a hard place......

.......is where this beautiful buddleia is growing!
It has found its perfect growing spot in the join between the brick wall and the tarmac
There are loads of them growing all along this join
Every year some dull and soulless person hacks them down to ground level
And every year they spring back up and do this.
There is no soil or other visible means of support
And it is baking hot in the sunshine, virtually all day, at this time of year!
It seems to be a choice they make

There's a lesson to be learned there I think
