The Maine event ...

To break up the boredom of long stretches of driving, we have made a long weekend holiday for picking up our children from their summer camps. First stop Newport, Rhode Island to collect our daughter from a 3 week science residential camp. Apart from all the great nerdy science course content, she said that a definite highlight was the automatic cheese dispenser. I think she made great use of this culinary wizardry for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

We have spent a lovely afternoon by the beach in Kennebunk on the Maine coast. We weren't invited to stay at the Bush family compound, but did manage to find suitable digs close by.
