New life and growth

This lily has popped up at the foot of my camphor tree. I'm not really sure what it is growing on or in as there isn't much soil there. Despite this it seems to be flourishing. It's fascinating how growth happens in what often seems the most inhospitable circumstances and often slows when life is easy. A lesson for all of us who try to make life too easy for our children and loved ones.
