The first Penistone Literary Festival

A very different kind of day for us (and for Penistone) today as we attended the inaugural day of the Literacy festival. First up (for us) was Andrew McMillan, seen here on the left and then after lunch Simon Armitage one of the countries best known and loved poets. To be engaged through poetry in the lives of these two very sensitive men felt like a true privilege.
