New carving/ sculpture at Canon Hall

It's been a few weeks since I last visited and I remember pondering over the purpose of the two, very substantial, upright posts that had been planted here. Now I know and I rather like it.

A very warm and humid afternoon walk around the grounds and mum was ready to sit in the car by the time we got back to the farm shops. I have to confess to being happy to sit at the computer myself for an hour while I drank my tea when I got back home. I have since been out in the garden to weed a bit and to add some fertiliser around the newly planted flowers. It feels cooler outside now - so hopefully our spell of thundery rain is over - sun shining this afternoon.
