Clovelly
Today's day trip lead us to Clovelly.
Clovelly is a quaint picturesque fishing harbour with cobbled streets that are so steep and narrow cars cannot access the village so any deliveries are made by sledge or donkey, which makes it a very unique place to visit
It was a pretty grey afternoon, but it was initially dry so we still managed to enjoy delicious fresh crab sandwiches on the quay before the heavens opened
It was a day of contrasts, and by the time we got back as far as Bideford it was bright blue skies and sunshine, so we decided to swing past Instow on the way home. We had a fabulous walk along the beach in bare feet in and out of the warm surf, followed by an ice cream.
What a perfect way to end a lovely day
