Thunderhead

Wow! What a night! The biggest thunder storm I have ever encountered set in in the early hours. About 130am I was woken by the heavy rain and a few seconds later sheet lightening. Constant sheet lightening like strobe lights and almost continuous rolling thunder.

The storm must have been almost directly overhead as there was one enormous flash and crack sounding like lightening had hit the pathway outside. The storm lasted about half an hour but was amazingly intense.

This morning the temperature is no lower - still around 22degC first thing, and hanging around the sky were these huge monsters hiding their thunderheads high in the sky just peeking out from between the darker lower levels and glinting in the bright sunshine that would shine through later.
