Beach by Dunstanburgh Golf Course

After spending the morning packing up the tent, we arrived at the beach with anticipation of a delicious ice-cream again. We were disappointed, however, by the absence of the van. Luckily i spotted a sign to the Dunstanburgh Golf Course Cafe which served us very lovely ice creams, and coffee & cake. We then headed on to the beach again. We all had a fab time jumping off the sand dunes, and building a massive castle with a big moat that turned into a tennis ball run. I went for a paddle in the sea, but later the boys all heeded down for a swim. Despite the two small boys being in wetsuits, Alasdair was the only one who braved the chilly north sea.
We finished the day off with a fantastic meal at The Crown, High Newton before heading back home.
