A great day out with my buddy Helen at Harlaxton Manor near Grantham today. Harlaxton is owned by the University of Evansville, Indiana and opens to the public on just one day every year. It was built between 1832 and 1854 by the wonderfully named Gregory Gregory who mixed Elizabethan, Jacobean and Baroque styles into one brilliantly bonkers house.
