Just a splash
A cocktail of a day
Take an early morning for a Sunday and add a little gardening, including planting the new Lucifer mombretia and deadheading roses long finished.
Then add a dash of Ralph who arrived on his shiny new red Honda to help with this and other chores including assembling the filing cabinet that Dad bought to keeps his papers in.
Stir in some visitors - my ex-brother in law and his wife who I haven't seen for years, and of course, Ralph's father, Frank, who I saw recently here.
Stir gently and allow to blend with a chat before adding a couple of hours of shelf assembly and subsequent book reorganising in the study.
Once this mixture has produced a really sticky mess in the humidity of the day, add some some thunder, lightening and rain while driving to the hospice and then pour slowly over some mixed-up, muddled-up Dad for a couple of hours.
Leave to rest for twenty minutes while walking in the gardens to take some photos of the pond in the rain. Once Dad is more lucid and has eaten his dinner and the Golf Open for 2014 is all over, drive home and serve with #20 Ale in England while cooking dinner for oneself and ones brother with just a little splash of Blip at the end of the day.
Ale In England #20 Jeffrey Hudson Bitter (Oakham ales) Alc 4.2% Vol
