Copper Town

A Sunday drive into the surrounding countryside was the order of the day. We first visited Cuanajo, a town devoted to wooden furniture, where my wife managed to find some more gourds at a good price. We then traveled up into the mountains to visit Santa Clara del Cobre, the village famous for its copper products. We had visited a few times in the past (first & second) so I knew to expect lots of photo opportunities. I wasn't disappointed (except the demonstrations that I had featured before were not taking place). After a cheap lunch on the plaza, we wandered the streets buying copper items for gifts and souvenirs of our visit because there was so darn much from which to choose.
