Observation post

Our property is bordered on one side by a very deep marl pit, a quarry dug out in medieval times for fertilizer for the fields. It is now well wooded and is a haven for wildlife (and domestic cats!). There are squirrels and foxes and very many birds. It is a pleasant pastime leaning on this fence and enjoying the scene below.
Feeling very flat today without our visitors.
