Roses are red

The spring and summer have been kind to our garden with everything, including weeds, thriving.

This rose stares in at me every day as I work; such a saturated vermilion.

Didn't get out today despite the good weather so had to crawl the garden for a photo op. Most things are in multiple stages of budding, flowering and wilting its really hard to find a decent subject. In the end opted for this to see how the Moto X copes with the fullness of the red and test its sharpness - which ain't too hot - or maybe its me that is shaking.
