Glen Hope Waterfall

Yesterday I was grizzling that winter hadn't really arrived. She must have heard me, because she arrived with a vengeance this morning!

I took lots of frosty morning photos around school, but then this afternoon I had to drive up to Nelson and couldn't resist stopping to photograph the Glen Hope waterfall. I thought the running water surrounded by frozen spray was pretty neat. A couple more days of freeze and the waterfall will be pretty much frozen too.

There were some really beautiful places on the drive where the seepage down the banks has frozen into stalagtites, but there is nowhere to stop at any of those spots. One day when I have more time available I hope to park further along the road and walk back to them.
