Acrylics?

Today was definitely a busy one. To be expected after the holidays. Especially when I spent so little time in at work over the last two weeks. Three 'conferences' over the holidays meant for lots of mental work done, but no office work caught up on.

At some point I'll have to process all the new thoughts/ideas/possibilities from the meetings and workshops - but it was never going to have a chance to happen today.

I got home late - surprise, surprise - and it was already dark. I don't have a pet for mono-Monday so out came the trusty indoor prop - the bowl of M & M's. I thought I'd try oil this time instead of water for my droplets but the oil wouldn't hold its shape so I couldn't get any refractions. In the end I just opted for 'painting' the plastic with oil. I think it has created somewhat of an abstract acrylic look.

Fun, if not terribly successful.
