Evening Harvesting

Harvesting of the oilseed rape crop, which we are very glad to see the back of. You can see how much dust is thrown up by the combine. There have been almost no insects over the field this year (so very few swallows and house martins feeding) and there are no birds feeding on spilled seed following the combine either. We think the insecticide has had a serious affect on our insects this year.
