Butterfly bush
It is a good job that my office is on the north side of the house. The summer garden is a big distraction, and I needed to keep my head down and my creativity up as a deadline-hitting word factory today. Mission accomplished, productivity good.
Late in the day I wandered outside, wondering what to blip. I saw it instantly, a beautiful peacock butterfly on one of the Buddleias. I love these big-blooming, slightly unruly shrubs, with their arching umbrella canopies. For good reason is Buddleia called 'the butterfly bush'. Sadly I was not quick enough before my target fluttered away. The flower it was on is still beautiful in its own right, though.
