Brasserie T!

day two of conferencing; went to an interesting panel on Canadian foreign policy that was meant to include three papers on the Arctic, but as happens so often with these conferences two of the three presenters had to pull out; at least that meant that there was ample of time for the remaining presenters and for the Q&A session; so I heard a really good paper on Canada's leadership (or not) in the Arctic Council; in the afternoon I met some people from McGill-Queen's University Press who are interested in my book project on Canada's Arctic policy; but the highlight was the evening when four of us Arctic researchers met at Brasserie T! which is the the "little sister" of the much-acclaimed restaurant Toque! (http://www.restaurant-toque.com/en); food and wine were very nice and company was truly inspiring; and I learned that there exists a premium Canadian gin from up North, Ungava (unfortunately, you cannot see the golden bottle in the picture); so I may have to buy some at Montréal airport
