Blossom and the Bee

I love the lacy wings of this wee bee who fluttered over the blackberry blossom . They are so abundant along the trails at the Marymoor dog park we went on our walk at today.

Give the ripening berries just another week or so and Big R will fill some buckets to the brim with them and make his yearly famous blackbery jams and pies!

I watched a good HBO documentary called The Newburgh Sting. It tells the story of the four men convicted of terrorism and makes a strong case that it was government entrapment....see write up here.

I found it profounding moving, scary and left me angry and wanting to get more involved in issues regarding political prisoners and wrongful convictions ....ones like these that use stings to beef up images of enforcement agencies and prey on the poor and uneducated and unemployed.
