The Archives

Today I had the incredible thrill of being able to sight six of the original images taken by my Great Grandfather. I was able to achieve this because I was given access to the Heritage Room at the State Library of Victoria.

Although these images have been digitalised by the historians at the Library and are available to view online, it was so wonderful to be able to see a collection of the original images. I was so pleased to see the great care that has been taken to preserve these humble photographs.

The library is extraordinary in itself and I will certainly return to spend many hours absorbing the incredible atmosphere of this historic building.
