Emperor Dragonfly
This weather doesn't do for me - far too hot! But it's even warmer and airless in my workplace, especially the tearoom. So lunch was taken al fresco by the pond. It was warm out there too, but with a lovely coolish breeze.
I was entertained by the local wildlife. A mallard duck standing on the fountain - luckily it's not on, moorhens getting a little friendly with each other and dragonflies and damselfies.
Apparently this is the UK's largest dragonfly. They were laying their eggs in the pond.
An early blip today as we're off for a picnic tonight. Trentham Gardens is open until 9pm this evening, so we're making the most of the good weather. It wll be a little cooler by 7pm tonight - I hope!
