Ashridge Woods
I spent a delightful morning in the company of JuneFox wandering round parts of the Ashridge Estate; we were last there in April photographing bluebells when the weather was quite different. We wandered round stopping where it took our fancies - butterflies, ferns, trees etc. But no deer. We did see some in the distance.
Of course, we had to spend some time in the tea shop and sample another slice of delicious cake - all in the cause of duty!
This is an amazing place and I could easily spend all day (most of today in fact) there so a fitting blip for the Challenge for today - another genuine quote from the Bard - ne of his best plays and very funny in parts, serious in others.
June: Out of all the butterfly efforts I managed about 3 decently in focus shots - the fern focus stacks came out well too.
