The Stone Mason

I was lulled and entranced by the gentle tapping and peaceful concentration of small group of novice stone masons of all ages in Dol de Bretagne this afternoon.

Each drew their design on a block of stone and learned to carve and finish it before leaving with their own individual carving.

I'd recommend it as a meditative de-stressing pastime and will certainly participate rather than observe next time.

This is my grandson.
