Why the Dutch are so good at football and hockey

I deliberately left out an important component of this scene when taking this photo - the group of four and five year olds standing to the right, getting ready to take part in some hockey exercises - as I don't like posting photos of other people's children but, nevertheless, I wanted to post something as it demonstrates why the Dutch are so successful at certain sports!

As Robyn and Amber went to their golf lesson on Tuesday morning, hordes of Dutch children, some as young as four, were making their way to the neighbouring sports fields for summer hockey and football camps. When you start them that young, and in such vast numbers, no wonder they all turn out to be so good!
