Remnants

I pass by this old Pill Box every day and what with being very interested in the Second World War I always mean't to stop and today I did. As most are blocked up around here this one one was open and this is the view from inside.

I have no idea how they did it but the heat inside was very oppresive and the firing arc from the small openings was very minimal. Also and on top of that people were sat there not knowing what was going to happen and when.

They all have my admiration and respect.
