Surprise sighting

I was out in the garden very early this morning taking photos of the sheep when the sunlight hit something red moving up the field on the fence. A red squirrel was climbing along so I grabbed this shot so not the best as it was a fair distance away and I literally pointed and pushed the shutter so surprised it actually captured it at all.

After the Puffin Pool Mike and my self went down to Milton Of Redcastle and went for a walk up to the old redcastle. It was boiling and plenty of butterflies were enjoying the heat. We walked along the path and noticed a wasps nest next to the path so hope no dogs or children come across it as there were lots of wasps going in and out. Two Osprey flew over head and a buzzard was hovering in the distance.

After lunch sitting outside at the Kessock hotel we went back and parked in the carpark over looking Munlochy Bay and walked along the railway track and took photos of the fabulous wildflowers. So pretty with their heads all facing the sun.

At last it's cooled down and the Haar can be seen between us and the bridge. The forecast is nt so good for tomorrow so we're pleased we made the most of the day.
