Pistyll Rhaeadr
Planning for today was easy as friends had suggested two places to go. Lots of single track roads leading to dead ends today, but with interesting things at the end!
First stop was this waterfall, the highest single drop waterfall in the UK at 240ft. We declined walking to the top because of the hot weather.
Next we drove to Pennant Melangell and St Melangell's church (see Mum's photo). A lovely peaceful spot.
On the way we saw a sign to Lake Vyrnwy so, after visiting the church, we went in search of more water. A beautiful location in the middle of nowhere so we enjoyed a scenic and quiet 12 mile drive around the full shore of the lake.
A gorgeous day but a little too hot to do much walking. Beautiful scenery though.
