King's Court Collage
Whenever the Mariner's star pitcher Felix Hernandez pitches they have a certain section you can buy tickets for called the King's Court. Hernandez's nickname is King Felix. He's such an awesome pitcher and nice guy. My friend Jenny asked if I would go sit in the King's Court for a game when he pitched. She is the one who was kind enough to let us use her cabana at her condo for the baby shower I had last Saturday for a friend's daughter. Jenny is always so kind and helpful and willing to do anything for you. Her birthday is coming up so I said how about an early birthday present and lets go now---and Felix was pitching tonight so I got us tickets. They also include a King's Court tee shirt and a big yellow "K" for strikeout card. When Felix gets two strikes on a batter all of the King's Court group stands up and waves the K cards yelling " K...K...K....K...K" hoping for a strikeout. He had ten K's tonight and was awesome. Unfortunately the rest of the team was not and in extra innings we lost 2-1.
But Jenny and I had a blast. We took each other's pictures sitting in the King's throne....we got big nerf Crown hats to wear and our tee shirts and "K" cards. I even turned mine upside down as is the tradition with a regular ball cap to try and rally the team for a win---didn't work:( We took selfies and yelled and laughed. I really had never thought I'd enjoy being a part of the "King's Court", but I really did and will definitely do it again!!! So a very unusual Friday night for this ole gal!!!!!
