Glasgow 2014

We haven't had tickets for any of the sporting events but we spent time today listening to beautiful music in the concert hall. There was a lovely festive atmosphere with spontaneous live music and a concert with Nicola Benedetti playing The Lark Ascending. It was magical.

We had dinner and a walk round the city centre as the sun went down.

Bewildered to see that, after all the fuss about the competition for best design for George Square, it is much as it was before apart from the enormous marquee selling games merchandise... which covers most of it and blocks the view of these beautiful buildings.
This was the view- the other way.
