A cut above

Block printing class at the library.

This is not a print, it's the actual inked block. I only had time to make two prints, but I brought the block home so I can make more if I want to.

I started out with a linoleum block. Cutting through it was such hard work I thought it might lead to carpal tunnel syndrome. I switched to this easy-cut material which the cutting tool glides through like butter. I began with a very simple design, just a couple of circles, and did all the rest by drawing directly with the cutting tool. Fun!
